Torre de Palma Wine Hotel, Monforte, a Member of Design Hotels

Our visit started long before with email and phone calls with Inesh who was so very warm and accommodating with our many questions. Inesh helped us with setting up dinner reservations providing a list of winery suggestions in the surrounding areas. At check in we were greeted by the equally warm and gracious Margarida. She kindly offered us an upgrade and showed us the option between two rooms for us to choose and took her time answering all of our questions. Indeed EVERYONE we met at Torre De Palma was superb but I have to single out Gonçalo who we first met at the bar and then at both dinners at the restaurant. Very attentive, excellent mixologist, knowledgable on all of the wines and pairings and just made us feel like we were in someone's home. He and Tana helped make our 41st anniversary dinner memorable, Muito obrigado Gonçalo! Thanks to Tana at the bar and Monica at breakfast as well! It was most unfortunate that it rained non stop during our stay but we were still treated to a delightful stay and are already planning our return during a less rainy period!

Unbelievably equipped rooms! The linens and furniture are stunning. The pools are both so pretty and welcoming. The photos online don't do this property justice! Food is fabulous and wine great! If you're looking for a place to unwind, this is the place for you. Paulo made us feel very welcome and well looked after.

I don't usually leave reviews, but after our 2 day stay at Torre De Palma, I felt compelled to share my experience. We had this hotel booked for 2 days as part of a longer 10 year anniversary trip to Portugal. The night before we checked in, we received an email about a special wine release and dinner they were having the day we were going to arrive and asked if we would like to join. We quickly responded that we would and got a little more excited about our stay. Fast forward to the next day and we arrived at the property. it's hard to put into words just how beautiful it is and the care that everyone puts into keeping it this way. We were warmly greeted at the front desk and given a quick tour of the property. By the time we got back to our room, our bags were waiting for us. I could go on and on about the little touches that make this place a must stay if you're in the area, but I can some it up by saying that the employees here are some of the most genuine people you will ever meet. You can sense that they truly love what they do. I want to give a special mention to Christiana for taken extra special care of us during our stay. We loved her recommendations for food and wine and especially loved the good conversations we had. We are already planning our next stay at the property, which will hopefully be next summer. Thank you so much for making our 2 day stay so memorable. You have the best staff that you could possibly ask for!

Just 2 hour drive from hectic Lisbon we are greeted with an oasis of tranquility, beauty and a piece of authentic Portugal . Wonderful welcoming staff, delicious cuisine and wines to savour and enjoy. Swimming pools, horse riding at our fingertips and relaxing room to unwind in , Just perfect .

We had a lovely visit at Torre de Palma. In large part to the professionalism, friendliness and dedication to superb customer service by Christiana & Goncalo. We enjoyed the wine selection and meals. The wine in the tower at sunset was a nice touch. If we could make a suggestion it would be to provide bikes in better condition. Thank you for a lovely three days.

Beautiful location and facilities. Excellent service . Food was great too. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel and were very satisfied. Staff was very accommodating. Make sure you Check out the views from the tower and walk the property
